About the Role
Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner - Children with Disabilities Team on behalf of Gateshead Council. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a well-established local authority team and play a key role in improving outcomes for children and families.
You will provide expert social work practice, support colleagues, and contribute to high-quality assessments and interventions for children with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage complex cases and provide high-quality social work practice within Children's Services.
Complete comprehensive assessments and develop effective support plans for children and families.
Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed to promote positive outcomes for children.
Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to social workers within the team.
Contribute to best practice development and continuous improvement across the service.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies, families, and professionals.
Requirements
Valid Social Work England registration.
Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.
Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.
Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.
Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage complex cases and work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
