About the Role

Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for an Advanced Practitioner - Children with Disabilities Team on behalf of Gateshead Council. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a well-established local authority team and play a key role in improving outcomes for children and families.

You will provide expert social work practice, support colleagues, and contribute to high-quality assessments and interventions for children with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage complex cases and provide high-quality social work practice within Children's Services.

  • Complete comprehensive assessments and develop effective support plans for children and families.

  • Ensure safeguarding and child protection procedures are followed to promote positive outcomes for children.

  • Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to social workers within the team.

  • Contribute to best practice development and continuous improvement across the service.

  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, families, and professionals.

Requirements

  • Valid Social Work England registration.

  • Significant post-qualifying experience within Children's Services.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and court processes.

  • Experience supporting, mentoring, or supervising social workers.

  • Excellent assessment, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage complex cases and work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
