Sandwell Children's Trust is currently seeking an experienced Advance Practitioner to support their Oversight of Children In Residential Homes.

Location: Wellman Building
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)

Notes : This will be a Non- Case holding Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic oversight and quality assurance of children placed in residential homes
  • Provide professional consultation and practice guidance to social workers and residential provides
  • Monitor care planning, risk management and safeguarding within residential settings
  • Strengthen partnership working with the Local Authority, residential providers and multi-agency partners
  • Improve placement stability, outcomes and overall care quality
  • Review and challenge care plans to ensure they remain child-centred and outcome focused
  • Identify themes, risks and practice gaps to support service development
  • Support complex decision-making and escalation where required
  • Promote best practice, learning and continuous improvement across residential provision
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of this pilot role and its impact on services

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
