Thurrock - QSW - Children & Families Assessment Team
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Thurrock Children & Families Assessment Team. As part of this dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in need within the Thurrock area.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Undertaking assessments to identify the needs and risks faced by children and families.
- Developing and implementing care plans to support positive outcomes for vulnerable children.
- Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to provide holistic support and interventions.
- Conducting home visits, interviews, and case conferences to gather information and assess situations.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to families, professionals, and stakeholders.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a relevant social work qualification and HCPC registration.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting assessments and interventions within a Children & Families setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex cases with sensitivity and professionalism.
