We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Herefordshire - TM - CP/CIN Team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in the local community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Undertaking assessments and implementing child protection and child in need plans
  • Working collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to provide support and interventions
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interventions and actions taken
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of services through reflective practice and feedback

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and HCPC registration
  • Demonstrated experience in child protection and child in need work within a social care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children and families
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
