Care Leavers Team Manager - Herefordshire (PART TIME) 22.5hr
We are currently recruiting for a Team Manager to join Herefordshire Council's Care Leavers Team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the council's Restorative Improvement Journey, supporting young people as they transition out of care and into independence.
As the Care Leavers Team Manager, you will lead a team of Personal Advisors within the Corporate Parenting Service, delivering high-quality supervision, strong case direction, and positive leadership. You'll play a key role in supporting our care-experienced young people, ensuring our statutory duties are met, and championing their rights.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide effective leadership and supervision to a team of Personal Advisors
* Drive improvement and ensure excellent outcomes for care leavers
* Promote and embed Restorative Practice and Signs of Safety across the service
* Build strong relationships with multi-agency partners
* Manage service delivery, performance, and budgets effectively
* Maintain a strong understanding of statutory responsibilities and corporate parenting principles

About You:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A recognised Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS or equivalent)
* Registration with Social Work England
* Substantial post-qualification experience, including recent management of staff
* Proven success in service and quality improvement
* Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
* A passion for working with care-experienced young people
This is a hybrid working role, with Wednesday as a mandatory office day. Other office attendance is required at least one additional day per week.
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
* Social Work England Registration
* Driving license and access to own vehicle
