PART TIME - Care Leavers Team Manager - Herefordshire
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Care Leavers Team Manager to join our team in Herefordshire. As a qualified social worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting young people transitioning from care to independent living.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Manage a team of social workers and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to care leavers.
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to team members, promoting professional development and best practice.
- Develop and implement care plans for young people leaving care, ensuring their individual needs and aspirations are met.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies and stakeholders to coordinate support services for care leavers.
- Participate in case conferences, reviews, and assessments to monitor progress and outcomes for young people.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in working with care leavers.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a social work setting.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to care leavers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
