We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our Lancashire Adoption Recruitment & Assessment Team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the adoption process by recruiting and assessing prospective adopters to provide loving and stable homes for children in need.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of prospective adopters to ensure they meet the necessary criteria and can provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
  • Working closely with adopters to prepare them for the adoption process, offering guidance and support throughout.
  • Collaborating with other professionals, such as social workers and healthcare providers, to gather information and make informed decisions regarding placements.
  • Participating in recruitment events and activities to attract potential adopters and raise awareness about the adoption process.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant experience in adoption services.
  • Registration with Social Work England and a valid DBS check.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of individuals.
