Social worker - Kinship Assessment - Devon
Qualified Social Workers required for work within the Kinship Support & Private Fostering Team - Countywide in Devon. Pay rate up to £36.00ph. 3 month contract but likely reviewed. Flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Kinship Support & Private Fostering Social Worker, County Hall Exeter (any DCC office location within Devon considered)
In this role you will be responsible for the preparation of private fostering arrangement assessments and statutory monitoring of private fostering arrangements, alongside supporting kinship carers post order which may include facilitating training and support groups, completion of annual support reviews, needs assessments and ASGSF related activity. This is a challenging and rewarding role within a vibrant service that places children and families at the centre of everything we do. Working to regulatory requirements, we strive to provide kinship carers with the support and resources they need to provide the love and quality of care the children they care for need.
Advocating for the children and young people of Devon, you will model social work practice that is of a high standard and in line with statutory obligations. You will champion restorative practice and encourage a collaborative culture, where opportunities for reflection and learning are supported.
Your skills and experience will include:
* A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England
* Satisfactory completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
* Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment, with knowledge of private fostering regulations
* Good written and verbal communication skills?
* Knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children's social work.
* Good recording and planning skills
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a car
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
