Cheshire East Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join its Fostering Kinship Support Team on a hybrid working basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team, helping to assess, support and promote stable kinship care arrangements that achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.

The Role

  • Complete kinship and connected persons assessments.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to kinship carers.
  • Undertake statutory visits, assessments and reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families and partner agencies.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for court and fostering panels where required.
  • Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and promote positive outcomes for children.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
  • Experience within Fostering, Kinship, Connected Persons or Children's Social Work.
  • Strong assessment, report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
