Location: 1st Floor, Delamere House, CW1 2JZ
Cheshire East Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join its Fostering Kinship Support Team on a hybrid working basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team, helping to assess, support and promote stable kinship care arrangements that achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
The Role
- Complete kinship and connected persons assessments.
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to kinship carers.
- Undertake statutory visits, assessments and reviews.
- Work collaboratively with children, families and partner agencies.
- Prepare high-quality reports for court and fostering panels where required.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and promote positive outcomes for children.
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
- Experience within Fostering, Kinship, Connected Persons or Children's Social Work.
- Strong assessment, report writing and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively.
