We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work - Learning Disabilities (LD) Team in Newcastle. This role is pivotal in supporting adults with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling lives while promoting their independence and well-being. You will work collaboratively with individuals, their families, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and implement effective interventions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments of individuals with learning disabilities to identify their needs and strengths.
  • Developing and reviewing personalized care plans in partnership with clients and their families.
  • Providing direct support and guidance to clients, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and services.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with local and national regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities or similar client groups.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
