Eden Brown Synergy is currently looking for an experienced & committed Advance Practitioner on Newcastle City Council, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established Care Leavers Team.

Payrate: £34.45 p/h Umb

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Holding a caseload of Looked after Children
  • Undertaking Core Assessments under Section 20
  • Undertaking Child Protection Enquiries under Section 47
  • Undertaking Viability Assessments
  • Undertaking Kinship Assessments
  • Undertaking Risk Assessments
  • Producing Annex B reports
  • Undertaking Regulation 38 Assessments
  • Undertaking Special Guardian Assessments
  • Liaising/ Working close with partnership agencies to support the families and meet the children'/ young people's needs
  • Preparing & implementing Care Plans
  • Attending court and giving evidence when required
  • Obtaining Interim Care Orders/Interim Supervision Orders
  • Initiating Care Proceedings
  • Completion of Care Proceedings
  • Obtaining Special Guardianship Orders
