Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Qualified Social Worker to join the Care and Support Team at Powys County Council.

Pay Rate: £38.43 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: LD1 5LG, Powys

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated Care and Support Team, working with children, young people and families to ensure they receive the right support at the right time. You will manage a varied caseload, undertake statutory assessments, develop child-centred care plans and work collaboratively with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

You will be responsible for completing Child in Need and Child Protection work where required, undertaking statutory visits, managing risk, and delivering timely interventions in line with legislation and best practice.

Key Skills Required:

* Experience within Care and Support, Child Protection, Child in Need or Assessment Teams
* Strong safeguarding, assessment and risk management skills
* Experience managing complex caseloads and completing statutory assessments
* Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and partner agencies
* Excellent communication, report writing and multi-agency working skills
* Social Work Wales registration (or eligibility to register) required

Essential Requirements:

* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Registered with Social Care Wales (or eligible for registration)
* Previous experience within Children's Services
* Strong knowledge of statutory safeguarding legislation and children's social care practice
