Team Manager - Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team

Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Team Manager to join the Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team at Stockport Council.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead a dedicated Children with Disabilities Team, ensuring high-quality statutory services are delivered to children and young people with complex needs and their families. You will provide effective leadership, supervision and support to social workers while promoting a child-centred approach and driving positive outcomes.

As Team Manager, you will oversee complex cases, provide management oversight on assessments and care planning, ensure statutory timescales are met, and work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and support families.

Key Skills Required:

  • Previous Team Manager experience within Children's Services
  • Experience managing a Children with Disabilities (CWD) Team
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and statutory children's social care legislation
  • Experience supervising, mentoring and developing social workers
  • Excellent leadership, decision-making and performance management skills
  • Strong communication, assessment and multi-agency working abilities
  • Ability to oversee complex cases and support high-quality practice
  • Social Work England registration required

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Previous management experience within Children's Services
  • Strong knowledge of statutory legislation, safeguarding procedures and children's social care practice
