Stockport Council - Senior Social Worker - CP/Locality Team
Location: Piccadilly, Stockport, SK1 3XE
Rate: £40 per hour Umbrella
Working Pattern: Hybrid
Stockport Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join its Child Protection (CP) / Locality Team on a hybrid working basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive local authority that is committed to achieving positive outcomes for children and families through a relational and systemic approach to practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of Child Protection and Child in Need cases.
- Undertake assessments, planning, intervention, and review work.
- Build effective relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Complete statutory visits, reports, and assessments within required timescales.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.
- Participate in reflective supervision and team meetings.

Requirements:
- Social Work England registration.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Recent experience within Children's Services.
- Strong Child Protection and Child in Need experience.
- Excellent assessment, safeguarding, and case management skills.
