As a Qualified Social Worker specializing in Children in Care (CIC) and Looked After Children (LAC), you will play a crucial role in supporting and advocating for vulnerable children and young people in the local community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Assessing the needs and risks of children in care and looked after children
- Developing and implementing care plans to ensure the well-being and safety of the children
- Working collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to provide holistic support
- Participating in case conferences, court hearings, and reviews to advocate for the best interests of the children
- Providing emotional support, guidance, and practical assistance to children and young people in challenging situations
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification and current registration with the HCPC
