We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join our team in Southampton, specializing in safeguarding and family support. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families in the community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the level of risk and support needed for children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
  • Providing direct support and intervention to families to promote positive outcomes and prevent further harm.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Participating in case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant meetings as required.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and family support within a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and welfare.
