We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Adult's Social Work - Learning Disabilities Team in Lewisham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and assistance to adults with learning disabilities, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assessing the needs of individuals with learning disabilities and developing care plans tailored to their specific requirements
  • Implementing and reviewing support services to ensure they meet the changing needs of service users
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and families to provide holistic care and support
  • Advocating for the rights and best interests of individuals with learning disabilities
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings and case conferences to coordinate care and support

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Work England
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities in a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
