Long Term Safeguarding - Tiverton, Devon
Social Worker required for work within the Children & Families Team as an Advanced Practitioner in the Devon-Tiverton. Competitive rates of pay up to £46ph, long term contracts in a well managed supportive team. This contract is for a role in Devon. An agreed weekly agency accommodation / commuter travel allowance of up to £150 per week is offered for those living 50 miles or more from their work base. Claims must be recorded with detailed receipts provided to support the claims made.
The suitable candidate will have experience of working with children and families and identifying potential child protection or dealing with ongoing child protection issues
The work within the team is of a complex nature, either high end children in need, or child protection. Cases also progress to care proceedings where appropriate hence the need for knowledge around Court work and the statutory requirements for children who are looked after
Applicants need to be experienced in progressing child protection / CIN plans with specific measurable and timely interventions and be able to recognise when further intervention is required to protect the children within their case load and take the appropriate action to address this.
Candidates will have a technical authority in social care practice with acknowledged depth and expertise, including the assessment and appropriate management of risk. Directly develops others, champions practice improvement by actively participating in process/procedure/policy and strategy development. This role may involve dealing with the most complex cases, partly in order to maintain credibility and experience in the field.
You will be HCPC registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
