Leicestershire County Council is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Learning Disabilities and Autism (LD&A) team based in Hinckley. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a mix of home and office-based working.

You will work with adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, carrying out Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and multi-agency working to develop and deliver person-centred support plans. This role is ideal for a practitioner confident in complex case management and strength-based approaches.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out Care Act 2014 assessments, reviews, and support planning.

Undertake Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest Decisions.

Participate in and lead on Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries.

Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings.

Promote the rights, wellbeing, and independence of service users.

Record and maintain accurate case notes using the council's system.

Requirements
Social Work qualification and Social Work England registration.

Proven experience in Adult Social Care, ideally within LD&A.

Strong understanding of the Care Act, MCA, DoLS, and safeguarding processes.

Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.

Enhanced DBS (can be provided or processed if needed).
