We are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Adults with Disabilities Team within Doncaster Adult Social Care. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a combination of home working and community visits.

The successful candidate will work with adults with physical and/or learning disabilities, completing person-centred assessments and supporting independence through equipment, adaptations, and care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Undertake functional assessments and Care Act assessments

Recommend appropriate equipment and home adaptations (minor and major)

Carry out Moving & Handling assessments and provide guidance to carers

Manage a caseload and contribute to effective case planning

Participate in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) meetings

Conduct home visits and ensure timely response to urgent cases

Requirements:

HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist

Experience in Adult Social Care, ideally with adults with disabilities

Sound understanding of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding

Strong assessment and report writing skills

Able to work independently with good time management

Driver with access to a vehicle preferred (for community visits)
