Sefton Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist (Children's Services) to join our dynamic team. This Grade I position plays a critical role in reducing the impact on our Children's OT service, addressing waiting lists, and enhancing the quality and efficiency of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments for children with complex needs, focusing on moving and handling, home safety, and DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) referrals.

Deliver timely and effective intervention to support children and their families in achieving safe, functional living environments.

Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and other agencies to support holistic, child-centred outcomes.

Contribute to service improvement and throughput, particularly in reducing assessment backlogs.

Requirements:

HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.

Significant experience in paediatric OT, including moving and handling and housing-related assessments.

Strong understanding of DFG processes and legislation affecting children with disabilities.

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
