Sefton Council is seeking an experienced and HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist to support its Children and Young People's Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team committed to inclusion, early intervention, and positive educational outcomes for children and young people.

You will work with schools, families, and other professionals to carry out statutory assessments, provide consultation and advice, and support the development of inclusive practices in educational settings.

Key Responsibilities:
Undertake statutory assessments for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)

Provide psychological advice and consultation to schools and families

Deliver interventions to promote inclusion and wellbeing

Support early intervention strategies across the borough

Contribute to multi-agency planning and decision-making

Requirements:
HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist

Postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology

Experience working within local authority or school settings

Sound understanding of SEND legislation and the EHCP process

Excellent communication, consultation, and collaborative working skills
