Southampton City Council is seeking a dedicated and passionate Social Worker to join our Looked After Children / Children in Care (LAC/CIC) Team. This role focuses on supporting children and young people who are in care, ensuring they experience stability, safety, and the best possible outcomes. Pay rate - £39ph

You will work directly with children, young people, carers, and partner agencies to promote permanence and positive life chances, delivering high-quality, child-centred practice.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of children and young people in care

Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning

Support care planning, permanency planning, and pathway planning

Prepare high-quality reports for reviews and meetings

Ensure the voice of the child is central to all decision-making

You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
