About the Role

Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking an experienced, innovative, and dedicated Advanced Practitioner to join our West Duty & Assessment Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practice leadership and oversight within the Duty & Assessment team
  • Support and mentor Social Workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred practice
  • Contribute to a relational and restorative culture of continuous learning and reflective practice
  • Lead on complex cases, including those within pre-proceedings and care proceedings
  • Ensure timely and effective decision-making to safeguard children
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to achieve the best outcomes

About You

We are looking for a Social Worker who:

  • Is Social Work qualified with substantial post-qualifying experience
  • Has strong experience in Duty & Assessment / Frontline services
  • Demonstrates expertise in Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings, and Care Proceedings
  • Has a proven track record of managing complex cases and legal work
  • Is passionate about developing others and improving practice standards

Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid working model
  • Minimum 3 days per week in the office
  • Flexible full-time or part-time (18.5 hours) options available

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle.
