Bradford - AP - Duty & Assessment Team
Bradford children and family trust Looking for Advanced Practitioner for their Duty & Assessment Team.
Payrate: -£37.00 p/h
Location:- Keighley Town Hall, BD21 3PA
Roles and Responsibilities
- Case Management: Manage a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments and formulating care plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
- Initial Assessments: Complete comprehensive initial assessments, investigating concerns about child safety, welfare, and development. This includes engaging with families, children, and relevant professionals.
- Child Protection: Take appropriate action in safeguarding children at risk, including initiating child protection procedures and contributing to multi-agency meetings.
- Court Work: Attend court hearings and provide evidence where necessary, presenting clear, accurate reports and recommendations regarding children's welfare.
- Care Planning: Develop and review care plans for children in need of support, ensuring they are tailored to individual needs and are regularly reviewed to reflect any changes in circumstances.
- Collaborative Working: Work closely with other professionals, such as health, education, and police, to ensure a holistic approach to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Supervision and Mentoring: Provide support and guidance to junior social workers and newly qualified staff, contributing to the development of their professional practice.
- Duty & Assessment Focus: Provide duty and assessment service as part of a team, responding to referrals and providing initial assessments in line with legislation and best practice.
- Report Writing: Produce accurate and timely reports for case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant legal and social proceedings.
- Multi-Agency Liaison: Maintain regular communication with partner agencies, ensuring the delivery of effective intervention strategies and outcomes for families and children.
- Hybrid Working Flexibility: Be available for office attendance for team meetings, supervision, and other essential duties as required by service needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
