We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Team Manager to join our Safeguarding team at BANES. This pivotal role will involve supporting the Team Manager in overseeing safeguarding practices and ensuring the highest standards of care and protection for vulnerable individuals. As a Deputy Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of social workers and practitioners, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the management and supervision of the safeguarding team, ensuring effective case management and service delivery.
  • Providing guidance and support to team members, facilitating professional development and growth.
  • Conducting assessments and reviews, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice guidelines.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to enhance safeguarding processes and outcomes.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • A relevant social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
