-Location: Oldham (Hybrid Working)
-Pay Rate: £39 per hour
We're recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join Oldham Council's Assessment & Intervention Team on an agency basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive team, undertaking timely assessments and interventions to safeguard children and support families. You'll manage a varied caseload, complete statutory assessments, work collaboratively with partner agencies, and develop outcome-focused care plans that make a real difference.
The Role
Undertake Child & Family Assessments.
Manage a diverse caseload within statutory timescales.
Complete Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries.
Work closely with children, families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies.
Develop and review child-focused plans to ensure positive outcomes.
Prepare reports and maintain accurate case records.
Attend child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings where required.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
Registered with Social Work England.
Previous experience within a Children's Assessment or Front Door/Assessment & Intervention Team.
Strong assessment, safeguarding, and risk management skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable.
