Plymouth - Senior Social Worker - Assessment Team
Senior Social Worker required for work within the Assessment Team based in Plymouth in Devon. Competitive rates of pay £45ph. 3 month minimum contract with opportunity to extend. 37 hours per week Close to the beautiful beaches of South Devon with good transport links via the A38 to M5.. Flexible working. £150 weekly accommodation.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a busy Assessment Team in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and confident practitioner looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and families while working within a supportive and collaborative team.
About the Role
As a Senior Social Worker within the Assessment Team, you will:
Undertake Child and Family Assessments.
Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, child protection, and pre-proceedings work.
Complete timely assessments and develop effective care plans.
Undertake Section 47 enquiries and contribute to strategy discussions.
Work closely with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
You will be Social Work England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK
