Specialist Social Worker – UASC, NRPF & intentional Homelessness | Nottingham City
Nottingham City is seeking a dedicated and skilled Specialist Social Worker to join our dynamic team focused on Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children (UASC), No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF), and intentional homelessness cases. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality support and intervention to vulnerable young individuals and families, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are upheld. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of the needs of UASC and families with NRPF, formulating effective care plans.
- Providing direct support and guidance to clients, facilitating access to necessary services, including housing, education, and health care.
- Collaborating with statutory and voluntary agencies to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation in compliance with local and national standards.
- Participating in multi-agency meetings and contributing to safeguarding discussions to protect vulnerable individuals.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in working with UASC, NRPF cases, or homelessness.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
