We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Social Worker to join our team in Coventry in the role of LAC/Adoption Advanced Practitioner. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting Looked After Children (LAC) and facilitating the adoption process to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and creating care plans for Looked After Children
- Providing support and guidance to foster carers, adoptive families, and birth families
- Participating in case conferences and multi-agency meetings to advocate for the needs of children
- Collaborating with other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to child welfare
- Monitoring and reviewing the progress of children in care and adoptive placements
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
- Experience working with Looked After Children and/or in adoption services
- Strong assessment and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
