Senior Practitioner - CP/CIN Team - Coventry
Coventry City Council is seeking an experienced and confident Senior Practitioner to join their Help and Protection Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-structured team dedicated to safeguarding children and families across the city.
As a Senior Practitioner, you will provide high-quality casework oversight, mentoring and support to less experienced staff while holding a reduced caseload of complex cases. You'll play a key role in promoting best practices and ensuring that interventions are both timely and effective.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a reduced caseload of complex child protection, CIN, and court work
* Offer supervision, guidance, and mentoring to junior staff
* Work closely with partner agencies to deliver multi-agency safeguarding plans
* Ensure all statutory duties are met in line with relevant legislation and local procedures
* Participate in strategy meetings, case conferences, and care planning reviews

Requirements:
* SWE Registration
* Minimum of 4 years post-qualifying experience within Children's Services
* Strong experience in child protection and safeguarding
* Experience mentoring or supervising others is desirable
* Ability to work confidently under pressure and make sound professional judgments
