Adult's SW - MH Team - Swindon

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Adult's Social Worker to join our Mental Health Team in Swindon. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and intervention to adults with mental health issues within the community.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and developing care plans for individuals with complex mental health needs.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for service users.
  • Providing crisis intervention and support during times of acute mental health distress.
  • Advocating for the rights and preferences of individuals in accordance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Participating in safeguarding procedures and risk assessments to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults.

The ideal candidate will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with adults with mental health issues in a social work setting.
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with service users, families, and stakeholders.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in adult social care and mental health services.

In addition to the above requirements, candidates with experience in crisis intervention, mental capacity assessments, or working with older adults will be highly desirable.
