Children's SW - Assessment Team - London Borough of Lambeth

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our Assessment Team in the vibrant London Borough of Lambeth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting assessments of children and families to determine their needs and develop appropriate support plans.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking assessments of children at risk of harm or in need of support
  • Working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and partner agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children
  • Developing and implementing care plans that meet the needs of children and promote positive outcomes
  • Providing support and guidance to families to help them achieve positive changes and prevent further issues
  • Participating in multi-agency meetings and case conferences to review and monitor progress

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration
  • Experience working within a Children's Services setting, preferably in an Assessment Team
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with children and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a complex caseload
