We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Team Manager for the FSCP (Family Safeguarding and Child Protection) Team in the vibrant London Borough of Lambeth. As a key member of our social work team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families in our community.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Manage a team of social workers and support staff, providing leadership, guidance, and supervision.
  • Oversee the assessment, planning, and review of cases to ensure timely and effective interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies and professionals to deliver integrated services and support to children and families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings as required.

Essential qualifications and skills:

  • Qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration.
  • Demonstrable experience in children's social work, with a focus on safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child welfare.
