We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Initial Response Team in Newcastle. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing timely and effective support to individuals and families in need of social work intervention.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting initial assessments and investigations to determine the needs and risks of service users.
- Developing and implementing care plans to address identified needs and promote positive outcomes.
- Providing crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing challenging situations.
- Liaising with partner agencies and professionals to coordinate multi-disciplinary support for service users.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and reports in accordance with regulatory standards.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with current registration with the relevant regulatory body.
- Demonstrated experience in working within a social care setting, preferably within an initial response or safeguarding team.
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding caseload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with service users and their families.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing social work practice.
