Job Advert: Qualified Social Worker - First Response Team
Location: Haringey Council
Pay Rate: £35 per hour
Contract Type: Full-time, Locum
Working Pattern: Hybrid available
About the Role:
Haringey Council is seeking a skilled and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their First Response Team. This is a fast-paced, frontline role responsible for safeguarding and supporting children and families at the point of referral.
You will be the first point of contact for new referrals, ensuring timely assessments and interventions to protect vulnerable children. The role involves managing complex cases, completing Child & Family Assessments, Section 47 investigations, and working closely with multi-agency professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Screening and triaging new referrals
Completing Child & Family Assessments
Conducting Section 47 investigations
Safeguarding planning and strategy meetings
Liaising with partner agencies to coordinate support
Recording case notes accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements:
Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
Registration with Social Work England
Minimum of 2 years' post-qualified experience in a frontline children's team
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
Experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
