We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Children's Social Worker to join our Adoption Team in Southend on Sea. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to children and families involved in the adoption process.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Conducting assessments and investigations to determine the best interests of the child
  • Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with other professionals and stakeholders
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families to ensure successful placements
  • Participating in court proceedings and representing the agency in legal matters
  • Working closely with external agencies and partners to promote the well-being of children

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Proven experience in working with children and families in a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to adoption and child protection

In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, candidates with experience in adoption services or child protection will be preferred.
