We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Children's Social Worker to join our Adoption Team in Luton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and services to children in need of adoption, as well as to prospective adoptive families.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Assessing the needs of children in care and matching them with suitable adoptive families
  • Conducting thorough assessments of prospective adopters to ensure they meet the necessary criteria
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to adoptive families throughout the adoption process
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals, such as social workers, health professionals, and educators, to ensure the best outcomes for children
  • Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all cases and interventions

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • A recognized Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
  • Demonstrated experience in working with children and families within a social work setting
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to adoption and child welfare
