We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker to join our Locality Team in Cardiff. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families within the community.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Conducting assessments and developing care plans for children and families in need of support
- Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure the best outcomes for service users
- Participating in case conferences and reviews to monitor progress and make recommendations for interventions
- Providing direct support and guidance to children and families, advocating on their behalf when necessary
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Social Worker with a valid registration with Social Care Wales
- Demonstrated experience in working within a social work setting, preferably within a locality team
- Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals and groups
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
