Supervising Social Worker required for work within the Kinship Team as a Social worker in the Cardiff area. Competitive rates of pay up to £36.68ph. 37 hours a week. They are friendly and supportive team, with management presence for any assistance 5 days a week. Flexible hybrid working arrangements.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Social Worker to join the Kinship Fostering Team. This is an exciting time to join Cardiff, which is an Authority on the implementation journey that uses the Signs of Safety approach to focus on the support of our Children.

The suitable applicant must demonstrate that they meet the requirements for a Grade 8 Kinship Fostering Supervising Social Worker as described in the Job Description and Person Specification.

You will be responsible for supporting and supervising an enthusiastic group of Kinship foster carers, with whom you will be expected to build and develop effective partnerships, in addition to assessing and new kinship carers.
What we are looking for from you

A degree in Social Work (or equivalent) is essential for this role and you must be a Registered Social Worker, as well as excellent skills in assessment and the ability to write concise records and reports.

You will be a good team player, have excellent communication and organization skills and have IT skills.

You will be Social Worker England registered, ideally a driver with access to own car and able to reside and work in the UK.
