Job Title: Qualified Social Worker - Adults Locality
Location: Glamorgan
Pay Rate: £35.11 per hour
Contract: Locum
Overview:
We're looking for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Adults Locality Team in Glamorgan. You'll be working with adults and carers to assess needs, create care plans, and provide ongoing support in line with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out statutory assessments and reviews
Develop and monitor care/support plans in partnership with service users
Manage a varied caseload, including complex cases
Liaise with internal and external partners to coordinate services
Maintain accurate case records and performance data
Participate in supervision, training, and development
Report safeguarding concerns promptly
Requirements:
Social Work qualification and registration with Social Care Wales
Minimum 2 years post-qualified experience (Grade 9 level preferred)
Experience working with adults in a statutory setting
Strong knowledge of Care Act, MCA, and safeguarding legislation
Ability to drive and complete community visits
Desirable:
AMHP/BIA qualification
Supervisory experience (students or junior staff)
