We are currently seeking experienced Qualified Social Workers (QSWs) to support Liverpool City Council's South Locality Adult Social Care team. This is a crucial opportunity to step into a frontline role and provide essential safeguarding interventions at a time of significant service pressure.

Why Your Role Matters
At time of writing:

73 safeguarding cases await allocation.

We are receiving ~35 new safeguarding enquiries weekly.

Over 1500 cases sit in our review trays, with ~200 overdue by more than 12 months.

There is no additional capacity within the current team to absorb this workload.

As an experienced Social Worker, your support is urgently needed to help the Council meet its statutory obligations under the Care Act (2014) and to safeguard the wellbeing of some of Liverpool's most vulnerable adults.

Key Responsibilities
Undertake Care Act assessments, safeguarding enquiries, and risk management interventions.

Deliver high-quality, person-centred social work to adults with complex needs.

Work collaboratively with health, housing, and community partners.

Ensure timely reviews and outcomes for unallocated and overdue cases.

Essential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.

Significant post-qualification experience in Adult Social Care, particularly in safeguarding and locality work.

Strong understanding of the Care Act 2014, MCA, DoLS, and statutory duties.

Ability to manage complex caseloads under pressure.
