Job Advert - Social Worker | Mental Health & Substance Misuse | Southwark Council | £32/hr
Southwark Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker (Grade 10) to join their specialist Substance Misuse Service, part of the Mental Health and Substance Misuse division of Adult Social Care.
This locum position is ideal for a dynamic and compassionate practitioner with experience in supporting individuals with significant substance misuse issues, often in combination with mental, physical, or neurological health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver person-centred support, often in service users' homes
Engage in multi-agency and partnership working
Undertake Care Act Assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments, and statutory duties
Use electronic systems effectively for case recording and planning
Requirements:
Social Work England registration
Relevant experience in substance misuse and mental health
Confident in assessment and partnership-based work
Rate: £32 per hour
Location: Southwark, London
