Derbyshire County Council is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their CP/CIN Team.

This role involves supporting children and families within the locality, managing cases to ensure their safety, well-being, and development. The position offers a competitive pay rate of £35 per hour (umbrella).

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of children and families, conducting assessments to identify risks and needs.
* Develop, implement, and review care plans to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.
* Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and provide coordinated support.
* Respond promptly to safeguarding concerns and ensure compliance with statutory guidelines.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Attend multi-disciplinary meetings, Child Protection conferences, and court proceedings as required.

Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with registration under Social Work England.
* Experience working within a Locality or safeguarding team, managing Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
* Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
