LAC/CIC - Social Worker - East Riding of Yorkshire
East Riding of Yorkshire Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Looked After Children (LAC) Team. This role involves providing support and safeguarding for children in care, ensuring that they receive the necessary care and protection to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of Looked After Children (LAC), ensuring their safety, well-being, and best interests are met.
* Conduct regular assessments and reviews to evaluate the care and placement needs of children in care.
* Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency professionals.
* Monitor and review placements, ensuring stability and positive outcomes for children in care.
* Attend and contribute to LAC reviews, Child Protection conferences, and other relevant meetings.
* Provide accurate and detailed case notes, reports, and documentation for care planning and court proceedings when required.
Essential Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with registration under Social Work England.
* Experience in working with Looked After Children (LAC) and an understanding of the LAC process.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures, relevant legislation, and statutory responsibilities.
* Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage a complex caseload and meet deadlines effectively.
