You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with families and other professionals to provide high-quality support. Your expertise will be vital in advocating for the best interests of children and ensuring they receive the resources they need to thrive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of children and families.
- Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Providing direct support and guidance to children in care and their families.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Participating in court proceedings and presenting evidence as required.
- Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- A recognized social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working with children in care or similar settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in child welfare.
