Durham - Sr. QSW - Families First team (Crook and Barnard Caste)
EDEN BROWN SYENRGY is currently looking for an experienced & committed Senior Social Worker for Durham County Council, offering an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a well-established Families First team (Crook and Barnard Caste).
Roles & Responsibilities (R&R):
- Manage a caseload of children and families in line with statutory responsibilities
- Undertake assessments, care planning, and reviews to ensure positive outcomes for children
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including education, health, and safeguarding teams
- Provide support and intervention to children and families in need, child protection, and looked-after children cases
- Prepare clear and concise reports for court proceedings, case conferences, and reviews
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case recordings in line with council policies and procedures
- Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and multi-agency meetings
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with current legislation, policies, and best practice guideline
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
- At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
- Social Work England Registration.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle.
