Trafford - Qualified Social Worker (QSW) - Community West Team - £30/hour
Location: Partington, Trafford Council - Hybrid Role
About the Role:
Trafford Council is recruiting an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join their integrated Community West Neighbourhood Team. This is a hybrid role, with office attendance expected when on duty.
The team works with adults in a variety of situations, including those with long-term conditions, dementia, hoarding, substance misuse, and alcohol issues. You will be responsible for delivering social work assessments and interventions using a strengths-based and person-centred approach, securing funding where necessary in line with the Reshaping Trafford Policy.
A significant part of your role will also involve responding to safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act and local policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of adults, providing assessment, interventions, and outcomes-focused social work
- Respond to safeguarding enquiries and support vulnerable adults
- Collaborate with other health and social care services for coordinated care
- Participate in a duty rota to respond to urgent support needs
- Share workload and support colleagues to make best use of team strengths
About You:
- Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience in statutory Adult Social Care
- Qualified Level 3 Social Worker
- Experienced, motivated, and able to work in a busy, challenging environment
- Committed to strengths-based and outcomes-focused assessments
- Enthusiastic about continuous service improvement and peer learning
- Dedicated to safeguarding vulnerable adults
