Eden Brown Synergy are currently looking for an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join the Cared for Children's Team at Trafford Council.

Pay Rate: £35 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Talbot Road, Manchester, Greater Manchester, M32 0TH, United Kingdom

As a Social Worker in the Cared for Children's Team, you will manage casework for children and young people with permanent care plans. You will ensure placement stability with minimal disruption, support children in understanding their journey, and help them heal from past experiences. You will work to build long-term relationships, creating a sense of belonging and stability, while collaborating with carers and partner agencies to provide a strong support network.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience working within Cared for Children/Looked After Children services
  • Ability to manage complex casework and ensure placement stability
  • Strong skills in building relationships with children, carers, and partner agencies
  • Ability to support children's emotional wellbeing and long-term development
  • Ability to demonstrate high-quality work including assessments and reports
  • Strong decision-making and professional judgement

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification - Degree, DipSW, or equivalent
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experience within children's services
  • 5 years reference, gaps in employment history checked, and relevant qualifications as per JDPS
