Eden Brown Synergy is currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join the South Community Mental Health Team in Trafford.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a transforming community mental health service where social work plays a central role in improving mental health outcomes and delivering person-centred, strengths-based interventions.

The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team supporting adults with severe mental health needs under the Care Programme Approach (CPA), while completing statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Human Rights Act 1998.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of adults with severe mental health needs within the community.
  • Work within a strengths-based and recovery-focused approach.
  • Complete Care Act assessments, reviews, safeguarding enquiries, and care planning.
  • Promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion for service users.
  • Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies.
  • Participate within a multi-disciplinary team alongside health and social care professionals.
  • Support positive risk-taking and risk management using legal and statutory frameworks.
  • Contribute to preventing, reducing, and delaying crisis interventions where possible.

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration.
  • Experience working within Adult Mental Health services.
  • Knowledge of Care Act 2014, MCA 2005, MHA 1983, and safeguarding legislation.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and interpersonal skills.
  • AMHP qualification desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
